WhatsApp will not work on these phones after Dec 31

The list of devices that won't work with WhatsApp include an iPhone, two Blackberry smartphones, two Nokia gadgets and more mobile phones. A company statement in a recent blog-post said, "As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use". Mobile operating systems offered by Google, Apple and Microsoft - which account for 99.5 percent of sales today - were on less than 25 percent of mobile devices sold at the time.

WhatsApp listed the devices that no longer support the device. The mobile messaging app that launched a series of new features in the year 2017, is expected to keep-up the momentum by adding a range of mind-blowing features to the app.

WhatsApp is known for supporting older generation operating systems, but the end of support from Microsoft and BlackBerry forced WhatsApp to end the support. You can transfer content between your Windows 10 devices, or you can even transfer content between your Windows 10 device and your Android phone.

If you haven't upgraded your mobile phone since time began, reports that the company are ceasing operational use on certain Blackberries, Nokia's, and iPhone's will probably have you running to your local network shop for a new handset. Because of its cross-platform support it has become the most popular messaging platform in the world. WhatsApp announced earlier this year it had one billion people worldwide using the service every month and one billion daily active users.
