WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for iOS users wherein a user can play YouTube videos right within the app, while continuing to chat. The new feature is available only for iOS users. Please go to the Google Play Store to download the latest version.

WhatsApp users from India have not been able to use the application mostly on Xiaomi phones.

According to Techook's report, Xiaomi has issued an official statement taking the responsibility of the "WhatsApp Obsolete" issue and explaining why it happened. You will not face the problem again because Xiaomi has updated the app in the store to the latest version approved by WhatsApp.

Users who are still facing the issue are advised to update WhatsApp on their smartphones. Instead, they were told "This version of WhatsApp became obsolete on January 13 2018". Users were greeted with a message that said "This version of WhatsApp has become obsolete".

WhatsApp was hit by a version 'obsolete ' error last week and now Xiaomi has acknowledged its part in the error, accepting that some users of its smartphones were affected thanks to a mistakenly pushed beta version of the app.

Following the update, iPhone users can also drag the YouTube window around your screen without the footage stopping or pausing, in order to get a better view of your messages.

If you have a Xiaomi smartphone and were facing an issue in using WhatsApp, then you were not alone. Later, it was revealed that the issue has been triggered by Xiaomi's Mi App store. "We apologize for any inconvenience faced by our Mi Fans, and promise to be more vigilant going forward", Xiaomi spokesperson told Techook. WABetaInfo first the new feature on the WhatsApp app.
