Trump Lawyer Releases Letter From Porn Star Denying Affair With POTUS

Cohen, Trump's lawyer who, according to the Journal, arranged the payment, denied the report in a statement on Friday to BuzzFeed News.

A separate statement, which Cohen provided and said was signed by Stormy Daniels, said the adult film star's relationship with Trump did not go further than several public appearances.

The president and Daniels were photographed together in July 2006 at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, a three-round tournament at the Edgewood Tahoe golf resort on the lake's northern shore. Apparently, she and Trump hooked up in 2006, one year after Donald married Melania.

Both the White House and Cohen strongly denied that the alleged affair had ever taken place, with Cohen calling the claims "outlandish allegations". The report said that she eventually got the payment through her lawyer Keith Davidson, and that funds were transferred to a client-trust account at City National Bank in Los Angeles.

The reported payment to Clifford would also not be the first time that Trump has settled out of court with a woman in relation to allegations of sexual impropriety.

Adult-film actress Stormy Daniels appears during an autograph signing for Wicked Pictures at the 2012 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas on January 20, 2012. Drake said Trump also repeatedly propositioned her, offering $10,000 and the use of his private jet for her to come to his suite.

Trump - who has faced sexual misconduct accusations from more than a dozen women during the presidential race - has denied any wrongdoing in the past.

None of the lawmakers knew Carson, and Trump found that surprising, the attendees said.

The White House slapped down the Journal's latest report on Trump's alleged affair with Clifford.

After the golf outing in Nevada in which he met Clifford, Mr. Trump was accused by adult-film actress Jessica Drake of kissing her against her will. Drake told the paper she did "not receive any money for coming forward" and was not subject to a non-disclosure agreement. Also in October 2016, the Washington Post published the now-infamous tape of a 2005 recording where Trump made his "grab 'em by the pussy" remark.

"Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false", the statement said.

Clifford herself hasn't responded to the Journal's request for comment.
