John Cena Expands Relationship With Nickelodeon

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cena's Baron Draxum is an alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants. The new Ninja Turtles series follows the four mutant brothers "as they encounter new mutants and villains and discover a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City". "It will be a new version of the main villain of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

Rise of the Turtles is co-executive produced by Andy Suriano and Ant Ward at Nickelodeon in Burbank. Veteran animation industry voice actor Rob Paulsen is voice directing the series. The winning team will face the Gauntlet, a multiple-challenge obstacle course with potential cash prizes. The show will be based on a United Kingdom format from Possessed and will feature kid contestants competing for cash prizes as they compete to keep clean while navigating obstacles that are created to make them messy. Cena's Hard Nocks South Productions will executive produce the show along with ITV Entertainment. Cena will be the first star to host the show in consecutive years since Rosie O'Donnell way back in the early 2000s. With stunts and surprises at every turn, the show will return to the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and will be seen by kids around the globe on Nickelodeon channels in more than 170 countries and territories.

In a recent interview, he told E News that they're amping up the wedding planning in the coming weeks.

John Cena made his big announcement on Thursday, which was that for the second year in a row, he will be hosting the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards. "This is especially fun as I get to be a bad guy, which is not normal for me, so I was really drawn to being a villain, especially with the iconic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" brand and Nickelodeon".
