First clip released of Obama on Letterman's new Netflix show

Barack Obama: So, you've got to stay in the pocket. Instead it features a particularly famous dad discussing his daughter Sasha and how he tried not to embarrass her when dancing alongside Prince. "And Prince asked Sasha [Obama's daughter] to come up and dance - and she's an excellent dancer", he said, in conversation with Letterman.

The inaugural episode of the Netflix talk show, "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman", features a light chat with the former USA president that the streaming service previewed on Wednesday. "I have 'dad moves.' And I think the key is what we call 'staying in the pocket, '" he says, making the audience laugh. The setting is relaxed and informal - think "Inside the Actors Studio" as opposed to "Late Show with David Letterman".

Netflix has billed this appearance on the inaugural episode of "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" as Obama's first talk show appearance since leaving office.

You know, like, "karate kicks and all kinds of stuff - is that one of the things you do?" he asked Letterman.

"These are people that I admire", Letterman said about the guests on the show's Netflix trailer.

While his wife is known to bust a move in public, Obama has rarely been seen letting loose on the dance floor.

Subsequent guests on the monthly series include Jay-Z, Tina Fey, and George Clooney. We're looking forward to seeing the former "Late Show" host take on a new project.
