Danish webshop lists supposed Red Dead Redemption 2 release date

Over seven years after the original Red Dead Redemption was released, Red Dead Redemption 2 could finally have a release date - unofficially at least.

According to a product page at Coolshop, that as of this writing is still in place, Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on June 8, 2018.

A potential release date appeared on Danish storefront Coolshop's website.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the third instalment in the Red Dead franchise, following its 2010 predecessor and 2004's Red Dead Revolver, which was released two generations back on the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Coolshop also leaked the release date of one of the most popular games ever Grand Theft Auto V. Coolshop leaked GTA V's release date before Rockstar confirmed it and the information they leaked was true.

It's not the most credible of sources.

NME.com has contacted Rockstar Studios to ask if the leaked release date is accurate.

That's right, June. Currently, the official word is that the game will be released in Spring 2018, and Spring that ain't. It is the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. We don't now know very much about what the game will entail, but at this point any additional entry in the series is exciting for those looking to see the story continue.

Rockstar originally said that the game was going to be released in fall 2017 but that didn't happen. However, the first was a brief teaser that mainly focused on the luscious environments within the game. Red Dead Redemption II is a gorgeous game if we can go by its trailers.

What do you make of this potential release date? And we'll surely have Rockstar do a full blowout for the game in the months to come.
