Daniel Levy claims makes a big claim about Harry Kane

Levy is in negotiations with Alli over a new contract that would bring him roughly into line with the money paid to Kane, who is Tottenham's highest earner and who may be granted a contract upgrade himself soon.

The likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with the pair, as Spurs attempt to tie them down to new contracts.

Tottenham are yet to hold talks with the player over the new deal but they have made it clear they won't leave any stone unturned in ensuring Alli's future with the club remains intact. He has guaranteed that no players that Tottenham want to keep will be sold in the summer transfer window.

"Always when a public person like Aaron is talking so openly, it is always very helpful to many people around who might have the same problem", said Pochettino, whose Tottenham side face Everton at Wembley on Saturday. Left-back Danny Rose is believed to be a target for Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists that he and his team need to respect every word chairman Daniel Levy said about keeping players because he is the boss.

I'm 100 per cent confident. So long as Alderweireld is out, we're likely to continue to see the 4-2-3-1 that Pochettino has implemented for much of the season, with some combination of Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, and Mousa Dembele in the central midfield pivot.

The club manager on his part said in today's press conference that the chairman's words are to be respected and once he has promised something he is sure to deliver.
