Flint native and Hollywood actor Terry Crews is suing the agent he says sexually assaulted him at a party in 2016, according to TMZ and others. Crews expressed fear of retaliation from Venit for reporting the incident, but Emanuel reportedly apologized for him and assured Crews that Venit "did not have that level of power despite his title as head of the Motion Picture Department".
Actor Terry Crews is suing a Hollywood agency over an allegation that one of its agents groped him at 2016 party.
The suit also says that Sandler called Crews while he was on his way home from the party to check up on him.
His lawsuit states: "It is now time to hold Venit accountable for his sexual predatory behaviour and to hold WME accountable for its conduct in condoning, ratifying and encouraging Venit's sexual predatory behaviour". Crews said after the alleged assault he pushed Venit away, and turned to Adam Sandler yelling, "Adam, come get your boy!"
Crews wrote that the agent in question called to apologise the next day, but "never really explained why he did what he did".
Crews revealed this story in a series of tweets, after which he terminated his contract with WME.
Crews, star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, states in the lawsuit that he is seeking to hold Venit and WME accountable for the alleged February 4, 2016 sexual assault by Venit on Crews on. "After all, if Crews, a 6'4", muscled, man, former professional athlete with a long list of entertainment industry credits, can be the victim of sexual assault at the hands of a much more powerful individual in the entertainment industry, anyone can be a victim".
The actor is seeking damages for assault, battery, sexual battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and negligent retention and supervision, E!
WME has not yet replied to a request for comment.
