Parking dispute leads to stabbing, auto into crowd

According to a NYPD detective, as quoted by AP, the incident is not believed to be a terror act.

Some of the injured, who were rushed to hospital, also reportedly had stab wounds.

During the dispute, the driver got out of a white Hyundai Sonata and stabbed two people in the torso, the New York Police Department said in a statement.

The driver then got back in the auto and drove onto the sidewalk about half a block away, striking six victims.

"The vehicle was going really fast, at least 50 miles per hour on the sidewalk", a witness reported.

"I just saw a couple of kids, just fighting", she said. "They were all screaming, it was insane".

A dispute ensued with others outside the club, and the man drove his auto up onto the sidewalk and into a crowd of people before leaving the scene, Barrere said.

It's unclear whether the fight and the hit-and-run were related.

Police stand guard after one person was killed and at least two injured when a hit-and-run driver slammed into a crowd outside XS NYC at 129th St. and Liberty Ave. early Sunday.

Police are still looking for the driver.
