Ontario Police confirmed they were investigating the case on Twitter yesterday.

According to Daily Mail, the disturbing 10-second video is said to have been filmed in Ontario, California, and was posted to Snapchat on Friday afternoon.

"The kitten and its owner have been located", police said.

Later, the police announced they knew about the identity of the 16-year-old but refrained from releasing it because of his age.
