As of this morning, however, Apple TV is still not available on Amazon. The app provides access to movies and TV shows available on Amazon Prime, as well as Amazon Originals like The Man in the High Castle and Transparent.
Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria and Japan can use the app to watch videos purchased or rented from Amazon.
This is something of a boon for the Apple TV - having Amazon Prime alongside other popular streaming platforms such as Netflix and Hulu means it's more in line with the competition and more of an attractive streaming proposition to Amazon Prime subscribers.
Apple promised it before the end of 2017, and just under the wire, it's finally here. Interestingly, this also comes just hours after Google pulled YouTube from two of Amazon's devices, criticising the latter for not selling Google hardware on its e-commerce platform.
Most notable, the Rocky movies are coming to Prime.

'The Sports tab in the Apple TV app makes it even easier for fans in the U.S. to track the teams, games, and moments that are important to them.
The app is not yet available for us, but it should be out soon as the update for the iPhone and iPad has already gone live.
Tensions between Amazon and Google have steadily risen over the last few years.
Google suggested in a statement that the move is due to Amazon not carrying Google products like Chromecast or Nest in its storefront.
