"Earlier today, WhatsApp users globally had trouble accessing the app for about an hour".
WhatsApp official released a statement after fixing the outage problem. Users from a number of countries including India, Ireland, Russia, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Israel, Spain, Malaysia, Kenya, Turkey, Italy, Egypt and Serbia have reported WhatsApp outages. Later I found out that many people were experiencing the same issue.
People took to social media to report that they are unable to delete or edit their profile image or update their information.
More details on the nature and cause of the outage weren't immediately available. Service appears now to be gradually being restored.
We will remind, recently announced the addition of the WhatsApp messenger function of determining geolocation. Fortunately for its users, the problem has been remedied quickly enough, within just about an hour at best.
However, the Facebook-owned app is now working to restore its services and the inconvenience caused by it. WhatsApp developers believe that the app was going through some technical problems resulting in the breakdown. Those who couldn't get it work to send or receive messages have to wait for some more time as the team is slowly restoring services in all regions.
