Now, however, we finally know who will be the one to connect the two shows, and it's not who we thought, as the actor hopping over the fence will be none other than Lennie James, who'll be reprising his role as Morgan in Fear the Walking Dead's fourth season.
Showrunner Scott Gimple did counter that by saying Morgan had a lot more story left on TWD, but that could just be a reference to this season, although the character has been absent for large spells before.
Don't miss the next episode of THE WALKING DEAD titled 'Time for After.' The episode airs Sunday, December 3 at 9/8c on AMC.
Back in October, The Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman said that there would be a The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead crossover. The statement further says, "Morgan's arch on The Walking Dead Season 8 positioned him for the story on Fear". This announcement was made on AMC's post-TWD chat show. Fear could also choose to leap forward in time, playing catch up, so that its characters meet up with the Morgan we all just saw leave Rick's army after a fight with Jesus. Does this mean that it will disappear from Walking Dead?
It's Lennie James, going from The Walking Dead to Fear the Walking Dead.
It's kind of a surprise, because signs pointed to it being Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), a fan favorite who died on The Walking Dead in Season 7.
"From the very first moment that the whole suggestion of Morgan, my character, going over to Fear The Walking Dead - the hardest part of it from beginning until now has been leaving The Walking Dead", James said, joining Talking Dead via satellite from Austin, Texas. And now we'll also get to find out who he was before he even met Rick in the aftermath of the apocalypse, before he was able to speak softly and carry a big stick.
What do you think about Morgan going to Fear TWD?
