Today is the general election, and if history is any indicator, the turnout will likely be low.

A problem with the election machines in York County could allow a single voter to vote a couple of times for certain candidates.

Stanfield said the county has made it easy to vote.

The county tested out the new tablets during the primary election and got a great response from voters and poll workers. No unusual voting machine issues were reported.

- Southern Colorado voters have two days remaining - Monday and Tuesday - to cast ballots for Election Day.

"It was determined to be too late to re-program machines that had already been sent out to 159 election districts", Walters said.

Notices were posted at all polling stations reminding voters they may only vote once for cross-filed candidates in the same race, the release states.

The scenario is most notable with the York County Court of Common Pleas judges race, where four candidates are vying for three vacancies.

In Cumberland County, turnout seemed to be "relatively slow - kind of what we expected", said Bethany Salzarulo, director of elections and voter registration. "Ensuring that they are not turning away eligible voters or imparting inaccurate information", Clarke said.

The group is teaming up with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights to establish a hotline aimed at addressing questions people may have about voting.
