The grocery chain says packages of white meat chicken salad, curried white chicken deli salad and turkey cranberry apple salad sold in some areas could be contaminated. All the products have the use by dates of November 10-21st.
The products have the establishment number "P-40299" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Green Cuisine, a San Fernando, Calif.
The chicken and turkey salads were shipped to 12 states including Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
All potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed, according to the statement.
Consumers who have bought the product should throw the item away or return to the store for a refund.
Trader Joe's said products with other "inspected" codes were not affected because they were created at separate sites.
"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience", the company wrote.
