Gurgaon: Bus conductor Ashok Kumar, accused in the Pradyuman murder case, was released on bail from Gurgaon's Bhondsi jail on late Wednesday evening, a day after he was granted bail by the Gurgaon District Court.

Speaking to ANI, Ashok's wife said that the police authorities beat him up, hung him upside down, tortured him and even sedated him to confess for the murder of Pradyuman. He also also told that there has been havoc all over India because of the murder and he must take responsibility of it.

The family of the bus conductor had earlier said that Kumar was allegedly tortured by the Haryana Police and was made to confess to Pradyuman's murder under "duress". His wife claimed that he was tortured by the police while he was in custody. It seems more information about the case will be made available soon, as the authorities take charge of the situation.

Eight-year-old Pradyuman was found in a pool of blood with his throat slit inside his school, Ryan International in Gurugram. "The police said him it's a small case and they will cover it accordingly", Ashok's sister-in-law. Ashok, who was arrested just hours after Pradyuman was killed at the Ryan International School, had confessed to killing the boy in front of media cameras a day after the murder.

The CBI on Monday submitted the DNA report in court.

After the second arrest, Kumar's lawyer moved the court for bail and said the CBI had no proof against him.

The case was later transferred to the CBI, which eventually found that a senior student of the school committed the crime in a bid to "postpone the examination and parent-teachers meet".

The victim's family demanded that the juvenile student should be treated as an adult and given a harsh punishment.

The probe agency accepted that it had no incriminating evidence against Kumar.
