The performance, which was a tribute to the first responders who had worked at various natural disasters, shootings, and other tragedies over the previous year, got a standing ovation from the audience.

Pink will be performing with Kelly Clarkson at the show, though it remains unclear if their dual performance will take place in her opening number or later on in the night.

"I think we met in passing, like, quickly on the Today show right after I won American Idol, like, 15 years ago [in 2002]", Clarkson explained. And boy, did these women do it justice.

Moments after Jamie Foxx told the crowd gathered at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles that "2017 was a year that tested out faith" and that "we needed the power of music to help us heal", the two singers delivered a moving performance of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts".

"This is by far the craziest, most insane thing I've ever attempted to do", Pink admitted in the video. Savannah, 16, and River Rose, 3, joined the artist in front of the cameras; Savannah donned an elegant one-shouldered gown, while River Rose complimented her half-sister and mother in an adorable floral-printed outfit.

We can only hope their flawless duet is the first of many collaborations.

'I'm just afraid I'm going to get up there and be like "I don't know if I can do this",' she said in the clip, as we saw her rehearsing the routine whilst attempting to sing. Because I want in. Pink posted a video to her Instagram account earlier in the week expressing her fears over the gravity-defying performance.

"TOGETHER we can unite as a people and as a nation".
