Interestingly, the company has announced that the live stream of the launch event which is happening on Nov 16 from 9.30 PM is being screened specially at PVR theatres across New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune.
TechRadar reports that, at least in the United Kingdom, the OnePlus 5T is going to carry the same price tag as the OnePlus which debuted earlier on this year. So, for a company that likes to dub its smartphones as "flagship killers", the lack of an edge to edge display doesn't bode well. OnePlus 5 will be launched in India on 16 November. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on Weibo revealed that the handset will be estimated under CNY 4,000 (around $600 or Rs. 39,000) while answering to a comment on this post. If the report is indeed true, it will be safe to assume that the Indian arm of the company will also mirror the pricing decision and bring the phone to the domestic market for the same price its predecessor was launched.
The OnePlus 5T is expected to come with a 6-inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with minimal bezels on both the sides and slim bezels on the top and bottom. The fact that it was a business listing complicates matters, but consumers will probably see the same numbers when the OnePlus 5T goes public. The OnePlus 3 was a far more popular phone compared to the OnePlus 5.
Now that it's confirmed, we've got little more than a week before the OnePlus 5T is launched.
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase beginning noon November 8 for $40. The event, set to be hosted in Brooklyn, New York will be open not only to journalists, but also the company's fans who are willing to pay $40. The smartphone is also available in 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant, which is priced at Rs 37,999.
