She later fired Ray as her attorney.
Maraj, who had denied the allegations, was tried in Nassau County, New York.
Neither Maraj nor his sister testified at the trial.
The older brother of Minaj, 34, will be sentenced next month and could face faces 25 years to life behind bars.
"She was prepared to do anything for her brother", a source told Page Six in December 2015 of Minaj. Maraj's lawyer, David Schwartz, intends to appeal the verdict. He is now being held at the Nassau County Jail until his upcoming sentencing.
According to the reports, prosecutors said that DNA evidence supported the allegations after Maraj's semen was found on the child's pyjamas.
Jury deliberations began Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, in Nassau County Court.
The accuser, now 14, girl testified that Maraj, 38, anally raped her at one point, slapped her in the face and ordered her to remain mute about his actions. "We hope that today's verdict will help the family in the healing process and that it will close this bad chapter in their lives". She testified that Maraj referred to her as a "puppet" and physically assaulted her if she rejected his advances.
The prosecution sought testimony from the victim's 10-year-old brother, who claimed that he'd once accidentally stumbled upon Maraj sexually assaulting his sister in their home, and they presented DNA evidence where an expert witness testified that semen found on the girl's pajama trousers was a one-in-291 billion match with the defendant.
She told jurors that he had previously treated her like a daughter but told her that the abuse was her fault and that she "wanted it to happen".
Maraj maintains the rape accusations were invented by the victim's mother in an attempt to go after Nicki Minaj's family fortune.
Carol Maraj, Jelani's mother, also testified, saying that the mother of the victim once told her that "It's gonna take lots of money to get out of this one". He said they were both partially unclothed.
