Destiny 2 - Expansion I: Curse of Osiris Livestreams

While the big news out of today's Destiny 2 stream concerns the Raid Lairs feature Curse of Osiris introduces, Bungie did share some other details. He'll offer a new type of area-specific reward called Lighthouse Engrams. There is no date for when the Raid Lair will release, but it will be a few weeks after the release of Curse of Osiris. We can travel to the core of Mercury which will be known as the Infinite Forest.

What's interesting about the Infinite Forest is how it actually opens up a new, unexplored planet within Destiny 2 - Mercury. This is a multilayered Vex simulation of reality that they use to garner information about the past, present and future. Something important. The key thing here is that you'll get to explore Mercury back when it was a lush Garden World of humanity and also see it eons later, in a future where the sun has gone dark and the Vex are all that remain.

As the story unfolds, we will get to know Osiris better and know what he and the Vex are after. Bungie is calling it a raid "lair", which functions essentially as a more challenging mini-raid.

It isn't as cool as getting an all-new Raid. With the Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris Raid being newly named a Raid Lair, we'll have to wait to jump in and see if it's the same kind of high-level endgame content that Guardians have come to expect from the studio. The lair for Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, will require six players like the normal raid does, and will still require a high power level, but will not be as lengthy as the normal raid. Once you finish the campaign you'll be privy to many of Osiris' secrets, one of which will let you build weapons that incorporate Vex designs. The stream takes place on Bungie's official Twitch channel. It will have a Prestige mode, if you're the tough type.

The team behind the Raid Lair promises new puzzles, content, and a whole new boss to fight, along with a second Raid Lair expansion coming to the Leviathan with Expansion II in the Spring of next year. Here's how to watch the reveal and what we know so far about Curse of Osiris.
