As such, with deals season about to go into full Black Friday overdrive, Amazon is getting ready to slash the prices of its own-brand gear in Whole Foods stores. These staffed pop-ups will give consumers a chance to not only try the devices, but also check out Prime Video and other Amazon services, according to a news release.
While many Whole Foods began stocking the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot immediately after its acquisition by Amazon in August, the grocery brand announced plans to expand the selection of products on Thursday. Amazon is already selling "farm fresh" Kindles, Echos, Fire TVs and tablets in 100 Whole Foods locations, but it's taking things a step further for holidays this year.
If you want to visit an Amazon pop-up, check out the Whole Foods in Chicago, Illinois or Rochester Hills, Michigan by November 13th.
During the announcement, though much details were not disclosed, Amazon did promise that there was still "more to come" and customers who hold Amazon Prime memberships will be getting "special savings and in-store benefits".
Whole Food's pre-Black Friday deals include $20 off the Echo Dot, $20 off the new Amazon Echo, and $30 off Kindle Paperwhite.
