Nokia 9 out of the headphone Jack

The new flagship smartphone Nokia 9 is expected to be priced within the price range of Euro 750 which is equivalent to Rs. 55,100. Rex Fryover, HMD Global's head of sales in the US, confirmed via email that the Nokia 8 "is not properly banded for the USA", according to NokiaPowerUser.

This comes as a bit of a surprise because the USA version of Nokia's phone website lists the Nokia 8.

As we said earlier the renders are based on info, which is from an unknown source. Nokia 9 is further expected to come with dual cameras at the back. However, going by OnLeaks' past record, this is pretty much what the Nokia 9 will look like.

There is a Nokia 9. Nokia's next flagship will probably ship with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter and USB-C headphones, a usual among Android phone manufacturers who removed the headphone jack. The primary cam comes with 13-megapixel RGB sensor coupled with optical image stabilisation and a secondary which includes 13-megapixel monochrome sensor. However, the Nokia 9 is missing on the fingerprint scanner in the front. In terms of other components, speculation has it that the Nokia 9 will boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution.

Nokia 9 is rumoured to launch sometime around October. The upcoming Nokia flagship is also speculated to have a dimension of 140.9x72.9x7.5mm, together with an increased thickness of 8.9mm due to camera bump.

Hopefully the Nokia 9 will be released in the USA to make up for it - it seems like an improvement on the Nokia 8 anyway. Meanwhile, HMD Global is working on another budget phone, which may be called Nokia 2. The phone is regardless very premium looking and might just be the most expensive phone to be released by both HMD and Nokia.
