Giants suspend Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie; Did he have 'altercation' with Ben McAdoo?

When asked about the length and reason for the suspension, McAdoo said "that's all I have for you right now".

In what has been a insane Wednesday, the New York Giants announced that they suspended veteran cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie but there's a possibility he could return Thursday.

Head coach Ben McAdoo made the announcement about the 31-year-old Rodgers-Cromartie, who started four of the winless Giants' five games this season.

"DRC came in yesterday, we had a conversation that was personal upstairs", McAdoo said.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Twitter that DRC got into a heated argument with Giants head coach Ben McAdoo on Sunday after getting pulled from the game, a 27-22 loss to the San Diego Chargers that dropped winless NY to 0-5.

Rodgers-Cromartie, a veteran, has been with the Giants since 2014 and is part of a team that is now 0-5, its season all but over. "We will suspend him". Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reports that he's unhappy with that arrangement and it seems that dissatisfaction has bubbled over. Rodgers-Cromartie tells ESPN's Josina Anderson he plans to rejoin the team on Thursday. Rodgers-Cromartie said he handled it the wrong way, "but to sit me a game had me hot, so I left". As Jenkins and Apple established themselves as the top two corners, Rodgers-Cromartie was relegated to a slot role in sub packages. So he left and now the Giants are suspending him.

There was also an altercation during the Giants' loss to the Chargers.
