Fox has shared the principal trailer for the X-Men spinoff, which stars Split's Anya Taylor-Joy, Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams and Stranger Things' Charlie Heaton.

You know that commercial for Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt that's been playing on the local stations, in which the girl's wandering through a haunted hospital and there's clowns?

The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone, best known for the 2014 teen drama The Fault in Our Stars.

Fox's X-Men film continuity is all over the place, so the company can get away with something like this. After watching the trailer, it is safe to say that this might be the first horror genre movie for the X-Men franchise. "We're trying to do something very, very different", Boone said previously to Entertainment Weekly about the film.

Fox released the first trailer for "The New Mutants", the next installment of their successful "X-Men" franchise.

Dr. Cecilia Reyes, played by Alice Braga in a role that was originally going to go to Rosario Dawson, is the one in charge of the whole operation and is responsible for the teenager's trauma.

"The New Mutants" follows 5 young mutants who are trapped in a secret facility and are just learning their powers.

The New Mutants is set to debut on April 13, 2018. After the success of Deadpool and Logan, they probably learned that it's good to think out of the traditional box sometimes.
