Barca Bullshit Weekly: Coutinho to Leave in January

However, we're not talking about where to catch some sun in the winter months, but rather about the fate of one particular footballer: Philippe Coutinho.

"We are ready to sign Coutinho or any other player".

"We want to have the most competitive squad possible".

Liverpool made their stance clear when they rejected Coutinho's transfer request and rebuffed Barcelona's bids of £72 million, £90.3m and £118m. There's no benefit to Liverpool agreeing to such a scenario, it would be naive, simply pushing the problem to January... unless it was an outright lie and they'll deal with the consequences after Christmas.

In the same deal, Coutinho also positively received option of him to keep playing with Liverpool in the Champions League although later he will be a cup-tie status with Barcelona.

"I would be gobsmacked if they consider doing business in January, absolutely gobsmacked".

Liverpool were forced to email Barcelona over the summer to ask them to stop their public courtship of the player and reports in Thursday's papers claim the Reds have been angered once again by Barcelona's latest attempts to distract the player.

That is according to Paul Joyce of The Times, who is knowledgeable when it comes to all matters Liverpool.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp insisted he had no issue with the player and Coutinho had scored in his last three games for Liverpool before heading off to play for his country.

Barcelona's summer interest appeared to have an affect on Coutinho.
