Arsene Wenger gives injury update ahead of Arsenal's clash with Watford

Fans will be clamouring to see Alexis Sanchez, Alexandre Lacazette and Ozil all starting together up top at Vicarage Road - for some reason Wenger has been reluctant to field the trio all at the same time so far this season.

Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil are expected to be available for selection following injury; but Alexis Sanchez, Alex Iwobi, Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette have all been involved during the worldwide break.

Alex Iwobi has impressed during his stint in the line-up and Arsene Wenger could continue to show faith in the Nigerian forward.

Arsenal's defensive woes are mounting with Shkodran Mustafi ruled out for six weeks due to a hamstring injury, while Sead Kolasinac and Laurent Koscielny are doubts for this weekend.

"We lost Mustafi for about four to six weeks and I don't think he'll be available before the next worldwide break", Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.

"Koscielny will have a test tomorrow", Wenger added. He worked quite hard physically, he looks like he is capable of playing if he survives the test.

Midfield: Sead Kolasinac is a minor doubt with a hip injury but the Bosnian global is expected to be available while Hector Bellerin should keep his place on the opposite flank.

'If he has no pain on his Achilles tendon he will play'. At the moment, he's not available. He trained on his own and the first signs are positive. I will decide that tomorrow.

Nacho Monreal is certain to keep his place at the back while Rob Holding is favourite to retain his position ahead of Per Mertesacker. "Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow".

Chambers has only played one game this season, in the EFL Cup against Doncaster, but has just been given a new deal by Wenger.
