Aleks Pihler to draw on Maribor's record when they face Liverpool

Klopp has frequently rotated at full-back - more so the right than left admittedly - and he should do so again to provide freshness in defence in a game the Reds must not lose.

Yet after Klopp was informed of a comment from ex-Slovakia striker turned media pundit Zlatko Zahovic suggesting he was a "fine coach who doesn't win big titles", the Liverpool boss offered up this response.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that goalkeeper Loris Karius will be recalled to the side to replace Simon Mignolet against Maribor on Tuesday night.

The Reds return toChampions League action in Slovenia looking for their first victory in Europe this season after drawing their opening two Group E games.

Luckily for Liverpool, no one team looks like running away with the group, meaning they still have a great chance of reaching the knockout stages provided they get a couple of wins under their belt, with the double-header against Maribor the ideal opportunity.

'We're confident. We're in a good moment.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss says they have no reason to be low on confidence following the standard of their recent performances. No chance. It is the last place I would do things like this.

"Of course, it's better if Adam could have scored in one game or another, but there is nothing we can do about this".

Maribor midfielder Aleks Pihler has claimed that he and his teammates will use their positive home record against English teams to boost them for Tuesday's Champions League group match against Liverpool. "We need to be concentrated and fearless against a top team of a European league", he said.

"It's so important, they've had nine Champions League games so far-they chose the hard way!"

"The two games we saw of Maribor were different".

Liverpool haven't been the most ruthless team in front of goal this term despite boasting of a star-studded attack.

He declared that from the games he has watched it is clear that Maribor are "an offensive-minded team" with "offensive players really strong, in style, keeping and protecting the ball".
