It is not known if the Yureka 2 will come with any offers during the sale, which is highly unlikely since it's a brand new smartphone. The phone also has 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. The Yu Yureka 2 is aimed at the country's best selling smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,930 mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. YU now sells YU Yunique 2, YU Yureka Black and YU Yunicorn in the country at Rs 5,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively.
In our review we said, Yu Yureka Black is a decent smartphone at Rs 8,999.
In any case, with this launch, Yu Yureka 2 becomes the sixth smartphone under the Yureka series.
Yu Yureka Black has a 5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating and a fingerprint sensor on the home button.
If a lot of those specifications sound familiar, that's because those are mostly what you get with the high-end version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The smartphone is priced at ₹11,999 and is available exclusively via Flipkart.
In terms of camera capability, the device features packs 16 MP rear-facing camera with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability.
Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and micro USB port.
All these specs seem powerful on paper, but the major let down with this device is Yu has gone with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is extremely dated in 2017.
