Grant Elliott finds Pakistan safe for worldwide cricket

In the second T20I between the ICC World XI and Pakistan, the mixture of players from the different country had a win over the host nation by seven wickets.

Pakistan are set to play World XI in the series decider of the Independence Cup later on Friday. Shehzad reached his fifty off 37 deliveries and struck three consecutive sixes in the 18th over to help Pakistan seize the momentum that they lost a bit in the middle.

To a question he said ICC ensures that all the member countries must ensure their participation in an ICC event but as far as bilateral series between Pakistan and India are concerned ICC cannot intervene in it."Bilateral cricket is not being played between the two countries (Pak and India) due to political reasons and it will resume at a stage when relations between them will be normal", he added.

PCB chairman Najam Sethi confirmed the series by stating, "The agreement with the West Indies Cricket Board has been finalized and done and they have confirmed they will come to Lahore in November to play three T20 Internationals".

"We hope the worldwide stars will return home with happy memories over their trip to Lahore and at the same time will leave behind a legacy of co-operation that will help Pakistan build its cricket future".

The cricketer even appreciated the hospitality he received in Pakistan.

"These three T20s between World XI and Pakistan are very important in the context of Pakistan cricket". This short tour is for something bigger. However, Dav Cameron while answering a question said that just like the players and security teams who visited Pakistan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final gave their feedback about the security arrangements to FICA. For the sake of them and for the betterment of our sports, let's hope cricket is celebrated in all parts of the world including Pakistan.

In the third ODI, Hasan Ali who sat back on the bench due to back pain the second T20 game is expected to return, while the World XI will not be looking forward to shuffling the winning combination which played the previous game.
