The Fusion has a Global Positioning System, accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass built-in - all of which allow it to properly stabilize footage internally.

In an event in San Francisco, GoPro's showed off Hero6, which shoots 4K resolution footage at 60 frames per second, the sharpest and smoothest resolution by any GoPro product.

The most notable updates in the Hero6 are UHD 4K 2160/60p video, up from 30p, and 240fps fps capture in HD, up from 120fps.

We've been hearing a lot about GoPro's Fusion 360 VR camera.

A year on from the disastrous launch of the GoPro Karma drone, which in some cases fell from the sky and was temporarily withdrawn from sale, the device has received an update.

Then there's all the stuff that GoPro introduced with the Hero 5 Black, which also carries over to the Hero 6.

All of these higher frame rates arrive thanks to GoPro's new custom-made GPI image processor that also improves image quality with enhanced video stabilization, a wider dynamic range, better low-light performance and a new digital zoom feature. It also advances GoPro's computer vision and machine learning capabilities, allowing the Hero6 to analyze visual scenes and sensor data for better QuikStories.

The GoPro Hero 6 is now available and cost $499.

The whole rig is waterproof down to 16 ft (5 m).

The Fusion actually consists of two cameras - one on the front, and one on the back.

GoPro hasn't revealed the release date or price for its first VR camera, but we do know that the GoPro Fusion will cost $699 (nothing yet on United Kingdom or European pricing).

Overcapture, which records more than the footage necessary for the 360 scene and flattens it so you can use any section independently, reconstructed in software as if you were cutting a multicam shot (in a free update to the GoPro app, available 2018). A cool new app feature called OverCapture will let you create traditional, fixed-perspective video from your 360-footage, GoPro said.

The Karma drone is Hero6 Black-compatible and features two new auto-shot paths: Follow and Watch. The "Watch" feature enables to the drone to hover in place and keep the controller in the frame, even if the person with the controller is moving.

GoPro stock fell 1.8% to 11.48 on the stock market today.
