Getafe had taken the lead in the first half through Gaku Shibasaki's stunning volley high into the roof of the net.

Barcelona come from one goal behind to record a 2-1 win over Getafe in Saturday afternoon's entertaining La Liga contest in Madrid.

The Brazil worldwide netted his first Barca goal with six minutes remaining as Ernesto Valverde's men recovered from a awful first half to claim a fourth straight top-flight victory in 2017-18.

But, the first-half performance Ernesto Valverde's side gave in the first-half wasn't up to scratch and Barcelona were to enter the half-time break 1-0 down courtesy of a stunning volley from Getafe's Japanese global Gaku Shibasaki.

Shibasaki squared the ball across Ter Stegen's goal on the overlap and took a deflection off Pique, which rolled just wide of the German's right-hand post.

Samuel Umtiti, meanwhile, powered a header at goal, but it was saved by Vicente Guaita.

The first shot of game fell to Getafe's Molina in the second minute who shot straight at Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

Messi nearly found a quick-fire equaliser, his free kick curling towards Guaita's top-left corner, but the goalkeeper managed to tip it over.

Luis Enrique felt the need for change at the break, bringing on Denis Suarez for Andres Iniesta, and the substitution was crucial when the new man stroked a crisp finish into the top-left corner from insides the area on 62 minutes.

Halftime substitute Denis Suarez curled in the equaliser from inside the box after being set-up by Sergi Roberto in the 62nd minute, 1-1.

Paulinho - just seven minutes after coming on - collected a Messi pass and showed strength to fend off two home defenders as he charged into the box before firing a fine finish into the far corner, ensuring his side's fine start to the campaign continued.
