Apple may test the bounds of iPhone love with a $1000 model

It's expected a product to mark 10 years since the first iPhone will be announced at the event.

The live stream will load on the mobile and desktop version of both web browsers, so you'll be able to watch on all your iOS and Windows 10 devices. It also includes the new W2 wireless chip. Think of it like a mini-intranet that walks around with you: your phone talking to your watch, which is sending information to the small pods in your ears, all tethered to the same storage vault. According to Apple, there's only a one in one million chance someone could have a close enough face to trick the system.

It is bigger than previous models at 5.8-inches and it has an edge-to-edge screen which means there is no home button. When you swipe up from the screen, you'll find an LTE icon from the Control Center to signify that you're online.

And, now, "one more thing".

The iPhone 8 is largely unchanged from the iPhone 7. Price starting at $699 for 8.

The iPhone X is expected to feature a 5.8-inch OLED display in the body slightly larger than the current 4.7-inch iPhone 7. They will be available for pre-order in New Zealand on October 23 and on sale from November 3.

Today's the big day.

Users who take a lot of photos will be glad to know that the iPhone X is believed to sport a dual camera aligned vertically. But, the feeling in the room seems to be, "let's get to the X".

Not much has changed physically except they now have a glass back. An update could also be announced.

Apple TV 4K starts Rs 15,900 for 32GB or Rs 17,900 for 64GB, joining Apple TV (4th generation) 32GB at Rs 12,900, available through select Apple Authorised Resellers. Movie downloads cost the same as HD.

Apple is bringing out a new charging plate called AirPower, will charge the iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods all at once.

The new Series 3 will retail for $399 with cellular and $329, the much slower Series 1 will be $249. It will feature better heart-rate sensing and alerts, as well as new "activity coaching" and exercise challenges.

The focus now on retail.

Cook also made a statement about the states of disaster in Texas and Florida, and encouraged everyone to watch the "Hand in Hand" hurricane relief benefit airing on all the major networks tonight.

Apple will update the page, which features prominently on its homepage, when the event starts at 10am PDT, 6pm BST.

As Vox reported, the launch "is also a ideal time to demonstrate the capabilities of the next version of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 11, which has been available to developers in beta mode for some time now but which will come to consumers soon".

Having unveiled its smart speaker, HomePod, earlier in June during the World Wide Developer's Conference, Apple is likely to give the precise date when the Siri-powered device will be shipping.
