Wednesday's Weather: Scattered showers and storms possible this

Most of the precipitation with this system will be fairly average and unspectacular. Widespread severe weather is not in the forecast, but locally heavy rain is and that could lead to some urban and small creek flooding.

Tonight: Evening showers/storms then mostly cloudy. The high temperature is expected to reach 83, while the low will be around 59.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 80, the weather service said. There will still be scattered to isolated showers in the afternoon.

Lows for the most part will be in the lower 60s during that stretch. Areas south and southeast have the best chance of seeing 2 or more inches of rain. Winds will pick up slightly in the evening, blowing at less than 15 miles per hour.

Monday Night will be cloudy with scattered showers and storms likely. Between showers there will be breaks of sunshine. High temperatures climbed into the lower 90s for highs.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Outside of any rain, the sun will likely be out. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.

Tuesday will be partly sunny in the morning, then become mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Showers will continue through Sunday. Lows in the low 70s. In fact, recent computer models try to paint some more showers over our neck of the woods on Sunday too.

Storms may start to thin out a little but by Friday and Saturday.

Capital Region Some scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop for the late afternoon and evening hours on Saturday. It will be worth keeping the rain jacket and umbrella around for the next few days.

Tuesday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 54. The upper level high will begin to move back to the west causing the rain chances to go back up. This will increase temps, humidity, and rain chances.
