Inside, drivers will be treated to quilted leather seats, a larger 10-inch touchscreen, and 4G LTE internet connectivity.
The revised XJ is offered with the 300hp 3.0-litre V6 diesel (now said to be quieter and more efficient than ever), the 340hp supercharged V6 petrol, the 510hp supercharged V8 (only as a Long Wheelbase) and the XJR575.
Safety tech has also been given a boost with the inclusion of forward cross traffic alert, lane keep assist and driver fatigue alert across the range.
To distinguish the XJR575 from lesser trims, Jaguar equipped the model with unique badging, twin hood louvers, and red brake calipers paired with special 20-inch gloss-black wheels.
This results in a torque figure of 700Nm, a 0-60mph run of just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186mph.
The 575 badging refers to what's under the hood, as the vehicle features a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine that now delivers 575PS, which translates to 567bhp.

Jaguar has announced a 567bhp R variant of its XJ saloon for the 2018 model year, making it the most powerful version of the luxury vehicle ever made. The setup is enough for the auto, which weighs around 2 tonnes, to hit 100kmph from standstill in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 300kmph. As a result, customers opting for the super-fast XJ will have the option to choose from two bespoke body paints - Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey.
"The Jaguar XJ is the largest model in our saloon auto line-up and retains the physical presence and graceful design customers expect from a Jaguar flagship", said Ian Callum, director of design at Jaguar.
In some news to brighten the Monday of auto enthusiasts everywhere, Jaguar now has a new XJR: the XJR575. Pricing and availability for the XJR575 have not yet been announced.
