"So for us not to have him anything close to 100%, it would be hard on us". Bismack Biyombo wasn't there to turn to when they needed him most, and the Raptors had no one waiting in the wings to fill his shoes.

The Raptors didn't start Jonas Valanciunas, but he led them with 23 points.

The three-time all-star missed 21 games late in the regular season after undergoing wrist surgery.

"It was close [Friday], but I think I made it worse by trying to work out a few times", Lowry said. "It's not going to be like that every night, but when it is, it becomes one of those nights for us". The King followed up his 35 point effort in game 1 with a 39-point explosion, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for 2nd on the all-time playoff scoring list. "With our rebounding, especially with Tristan and Kevin, when they play small, we can pound the glass", Lue said.
"We have to bear down defensively and hold down the fort during the first half".

It won't be easy against a team operating at peak efficiency led by a future Hall of Famer playing at his peak, but Raptors can't allow Cavs to have it all.

Before the game, Toronto vowed to be more physical against the Cavs. He also moved Serge Ibaka from power forward to center. He averages 32.7 points in games after sub-10 point performance, and was true to form, shooting 12 for 23 and making all 13 free throw attempts.

Be the ones initiating the physicality for a change.

Cleveland won the first two games of the best-of-seven series at home. Return the favour now that he's a visitor. "Those things, you can't make mistakes on them". Tucker did it on occasion in Cleveland, but this has to come from all parts of the roster.
