The IBF heavyweight champion on Saturday bids to win the WBA title last held by Tyson Fury when he meets Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in front of a British post-war record fight crowd of 90,000.
Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko airs live from London's Wembley Stadium on Showtime at 4:15 PM ET/1:15 PM PT, with HBO broadcasting the same-day replay at 11 PM ET/PT.
The 27-year-old Joshua fought in Vegas as an amateur, but Lewis told Press Association Sport: "I'm shocked Anthony Joshua doesn't want to fight in Vegas". Even if he is too old, which I think he is, he's in a good place mentally and that's a risky fighter.
NOT JOSHING AROUND When is Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko, how can I get tickets and can I watch it on TV?
Wilder is the current holder of the WBC heavyweight title and says despite not looking past Joshua to beat Klitschko, he says a bout with the Watford native is certainly one that interests him. "She enjoys it all, though, and she gets a few freebies", Joshua said. "His mind seems to be in the right place so I'm in for a tough fight".
"I just look at little parts of it, not the whole thing". Because it was the most recent one, it is very relevant, but Fury is completely different to me.
But although the bookmakers seem utterly torn on who will emerge victorious - Joshua is the slight favourite although Klitschko is not too far behind - the statistics behind each boxer could not be more different. I'm going to defend Klitschko a bit, as he has developed a (quite deserved) reputation for being in some unexciting fights. In the heavyweight division you can eliminate skills from anybody, even including myself, I don't need skills.
