The Walking Dead Season 8 Gets New Series Regulars

Don't forget that Andrew J. West (Gareth) was promoted to series regular ahead of TWD Season 5, and his Gareth only made it through a few episodes of that season.

"The Walking Dead" Season 8 has promoted three actors to series regular status, Variety has confirmed.

AMC in the United States has ordered a fourth season of Fear the Walking Dead before the third has started airing, and will again debut the zombie drama simultaneously around the world on AMC Global.

Keeping the show fresh, they've now chose to bring three already established characters to the forefront, with the actors who are playing each of them inking new deals that will see them become series regulars in season 8 and beyond.

Perhaps most exciting though is the promotion of Steven Ogg, who plays Simon, the wonderfully moustached henchman of Negan.

The final tallies are in, and we've determined "The Walking Dead" Season 7's absolute best and worst characters. Be that as it may, nobody can deny that it was an eventful season when it came to losing some main characters, as Glenn and Abraham bought it in the premiere, and Sasha sacrificed herself in the recent finale. The season premiere saw two fan favourites meet their maker at the hands of new character Negan's baseball bat Lucille.

We can expect the deaths to continue well into Season 8.

Elsewhere, in Season 3 of "Fear The Walking Dead, " Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) needs to muster the savagery of her father if she wants to survive. As Coming Soon points out, this new key art image could represent "the idea that the person you become in the new world is more brutal, savage and heartless; and capable of things that were unimaginable before the dead began to walk". Then finally, we have the Scavengers leader Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), who turned around and betrayed the Alexandrians at the last minute at the end of season 7.
