Deputy District Attorney Tannaz Mokayef with the Major Crimes Division said sentencing is scheduled for March 30 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court and Medina faces six years in state prison.

According to the LA County Sheriff's Department, Medina and his girlfriend went into his bedroom during an argument, but Sutter forced his way into the room.

The altercation between Medina and Josh Sutter, his roommate at the time, occurred on January 31, 2015. They then claim that Ricardo took a sword that he owned and kept in the home and used it to stab Josh multiple times until he was dead.

Medina's attorney, Allen Bell, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It's been a self-defense case. He had also appeared in another one of the franchise's series, Power Rangers Samurai, from 2011 to 2012, playing the role of Dekker, reprising his role as a voice talent for the video game of the same name.

"Josh don't have that in his heart to attack anybody". Had he been convicted of murder, Medina would have faced 26 years to life in jail.

However in January 2016 he was rearrested by police in Palmdale, California, and charged with one count of murder, Sutter's family say officers made the arrest because evidence found at the scene did not fit with the 37-year-old's version of events.

Back in 2002, Richard Medina played Red Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force. That season of the Power Rangers was actually split in two, with Power Rangers Super Samurai making up the second set of 20 episodes in 2012.
