Sunderland vs Manchester City, Premier League 2016/17

Manchester City have announced their starting eleven and substitutes to take on struggling Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in a Premier League fixture this afternoon.

Kickoff is set for 3.30pm BST.

Pep Guardiola's only complaint with Man City's victory is that their aggression let up once they took a 2-0 lead.

Manchester City will be looking to avoid complacency as they visit Sunderland, who have 19 points in 26 games so far and are place at the bottom of the table.

"Today another one and he had more chances and he helped us a lot in our game and our build-up".

Sunderland are now in last place but if David Moyes manages to record his first home victory of 2017 it could move them into 18th position.

"I think that the five or six teams that are on top of the league, everybody expects that they are going to win the games but football shows us here, in Barcelona, Germany, in my experience, everything can happen".

City captain Vincent Kompany is back in contention after three games out with a leg injury, while fellow defender Aleksandar Kolarov is also fit again after a hamstring injury.

Leroy Sane strikes for City at Sunderland.

"But I have to involve both of them when they are fit".

Which Premier League side has collected the most yellow cards this season? "They did all they could to try to get something out of the game", he told BBC Sport.

"We're in a good moment".

"They created more chances than we did".

Yaya Toure and David Silva combined to play Raheem Sterling into space down the right and his low cross clipped full-back Bryan Oviedo, allowing Aguero to lift the ball expertly over keeper Jordan Pickford.

"Liverpool and Tottenham should win there and were not able".

Any hope Stoke harboured of their hosts suffering from fatigue given the short turn-around before their trip to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday - where an eighth win in 10 unbeaten games will see Guardiola's side move up to second - were dashed in this early Spring stroll. "Every game will be a final, not just for the title contenders, but for the teams playing for Champions League qualification, Europa League, relegation", via BBC Sport.
