Jio which has garnered 100 million subscribers in six months and introduced free voice lifetime in Indian telecom market sees Revenue transition from voice to data in 1-2 years.
This 1GB data will be divide into 500MB on the day time and 500MB on night hours.
The users will have to subscribe to this plan before March 31 to avail the benefits. Now, when the leading telecom players are offering 14-28 GB data per month, which is enough for most of us, many average users will have less inclination to opt for Jio Prime.
Similarly, those recharging with Rs 499 and above would now get additional 10GB data extra, over the already promised 56GB (or 2GB per day limit).
While Airtel and Vodafone have announced their own plans to counter Jio, Idea cellular also announced its own plan for its customers. The company will offer 1GB of 4G data per day to its subscribers, bundled with unlimited outgoing calls. Just days after the company announced the debut of the Jio Prime Membership and the associated plans, today we have reports of two plans from within the Prime Membership getting an upgrade. Idea Cellular wants users to increase their mobile data usage by offering this plan. While Airtel's plan looks way better on paper, in actuality, the Reliance's plan is the best one to go for. Though Reliance Jio will start to charge customers from April 1, it has announced a slew of aggressive prepaid and postpaid plans.
The Rs.999 plan gives a Prime member 60GB of data for one billing cycle with the no FUP cap, while a non-Prime member receives 12.5GB data. The company intends to offer high-speed data access to customers while keeping overall pricing ARPU-oriented.
'Logan' Box Office Hit: Highest Opening Weekend For Any Wolverine Movie
Logan hit the theaters only yesterday, but critics are already speculating it could be nominated for best picture next year. As Variety reported, the "Logan" movie made $85.3 million in its debut weekend so far, and is set to take in more.
In addition to an update about their plans and business outlook, the Reliance Jio management also provided insights into future product launches, such as Jio Car Connect, Credit Suisse said. This is subject to a limit of 1GB a day.
While Reliance Jio's special offer only extends to its Prime members, Idea's offer will only be available to those who are contacted by the telco.
Rs. 345 pack offers 1 GB 4G data along with 1200 local/STD mins to any network in India for 28 days. Given the amount of data offered is less, its daily FUP is also less.
After signing in with the Idea number, one can check the availability of the plan from the app-exclusive offers section.
The pack costs Rs. 303 for 28 days, but the users will have to enroll themselves into Jio Prime membership costing Rs. 99 for a year.
