An insider from Amazon told TooFab, "the buying team usually purchases the entire line and sees what sells the most, but can not provide numbers to outside sources". "Since the beginning of February, they were some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand..." She said most products are sold to women in New York, California and Texas.
Comparing the share price and sales figures is not indicative of much.
Data from Lyst, a British e-commerce website that tracks online sale items, backs her claim.
Sales of Ivanka Trump products increased 346% between January and February, while over a year ago sales of the brand are up 557% according to Lyst, a British e-commerce website that sells thousands of different brands.
One expert in brands of this type said that while it was possible the Trump brand was given a short term explosion of sales from press coverage, the brand was going to grow anyway, particularly outside the U.S. now that the namesake is linked to the glamour of the U.S. White House. "To see such an extreme spike in one month is completely unheard of and came as a huge surprise to us", Sarah Tanner, Lyst's USA spokesperson, said. At least according to a profile piece that only spoke with the new president of the first daughter's brand.
"She continues to represent the quintessential American woman that is successful, a mother and lovely, and they want that image for themselves", he said.

And Lloyd also said he was mad because the "worker was Arab" and he assumed him to be Muslim , according to the report. The hate attacks began last month when 32-year-old engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla was shot dead in a Kansas bar.
The report states that interest in the Ivanka Trump Collection on the fashion search engine Lyst soared in February.
A rep for Nordstrom also TooFab that they "do not provide sales details for any of their brands, including Ivanka Trump".
Recently, daily Chinese newspaper Global Times posted a video showing what it looks like inside one of the Chinese factories that work for Ivanka Trump's clothing brand.
"I think if a lot of people do a small thing and don't buy a certain brand it can effect the brand. MAGA! Who needs Nordstrom's!" a shopper named Dustin M wrote online.
That spike may be attributable to increased public interest in the Trump family over the a year ago. The company's sales ranking on Lyft skyrocketed from 550th in January to 11th in February.
Nordstrom stock was up 4% during the period as well, but is lower by over 7% on the year. CNBC notes that the store's sales of Ivanka's line fell 56 percent last month.
