Todd Bowles: Ryan Fitzpatrick will be back next week as starter

The Cardinals rushed for 171 yards against a Jets team that entered the game second in the National Football League against the run, allowing 68 yards per game.

The big-play passing offense that propelled them to a 13-3 record a year ago is giving way to a ground game centered on dynamic running back David Johnson.

Jets WR Brandon Marshall (3 receptions, 70 yards) - Marshall was being shadowed by Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, but made the most out of his three catches. "I think this group of men are very confident in our ability". "We're not putting up points".

Seattle is 2-3 against the spread this season and has begun to level off a bit the last two years after being one of the best teams against the spread from 2012-14.

Then again, no one really expected the Cardinals to start the season with three losses in their first four games, either.

A dynamic running back and a stifling defense have the Arizona Cardinals back to.500. "He just kind of walked right in, especially on one of them". It's been almost 30 years since the franchise has rushed for those many yards in back-to-back games. And the last two weeks, the Cardinals have done exactly that.

Tuesday, the coach explained what's changed.

"I noticed the confidence", Roethlisberger said of Jones. "Better focus for 60 minutes".

After garnering little interest in the free-agent market, Fitzpatrick re-signed with the Jets on the eve of training camp, a move most Jets players celebrated. "We'll see how things go down the line".

Skrine was trying to play physical coverage, but that proved impossible with how the game was being officiated.

"Everybody loves the home run ball", Palmer said, "but completions are completions".

"Looking at the situation realistically, I think they're going to give Geno his shot", Fitzpatrick said. "But I'm glad our team won the game". "They are thinking about one thing in getting a win". His mistakes have been costly, too: 10 of Fitzpatrick's picks have come in the second half of games, eight of which were in the fourth quarter. It was, after all, a true team win. It's so early in the season. "I'm disappointed that we're making the change". That's Coach Arians' motto. Perhaps it's because defenses have adjusted to take those away or receivers haven't been able to get separation or Palmer has underthrown them.

There is hope around the locker room, and in the fan base, that Smith can spark this 1-5 Jets.

The Cardinals had drives of 11, 14 and 14 plays Monday night, and all three produced touchdowns.

In a toss-up game, I'm siding with the Cardinals at home. We haven't discussed playoffs since the season began, actually. Four games into the campaign it was the best-case scenario, and while still not great, the way the Cardinals have reached that mark provides reason for optimism. He was intercepted by Tyrann Mathieu on the next play. "We've still got some stages to go before we get to that point, but it's definitely possible". "We can't play like that and he can't play like that if he's going to have penalties and get handsy like that".

"As an offence, we are just not consistent right now and the offence goes as the quarterback goes", Fitzpatrick said.
